Love this bunny so much. Love your lines.
Thanks Melissa! I find that line quality is a tough subject with primary grades. This lesson was a nice introduction to line as well as watercolor technique
I love bunnies!!! in fact I go accept the other day because that board just disappeared! Anyway, I saw this rabbit this morning and I couldn't help but smile! Then to see the kids drawings , that's wonderful! When i was in school, we never really had watercolor training ( I'm glad I had been teaching myself with the aid of my mother ) and I think Melissa (the other one, lol) said the same thing I was thinking, amazing line work! where were you in my art classes lol
I love this project. Trying it now with my students. I was wondering if you had the kids create an outline after watercoloring with pen? The work appears to have some kind of darker line around the perimeter?
Thanks for sharing a great lesson!
I had the kids go over the eyes and mouth with sharpie. Some of the kids chose to outline with fine tip sharpie all over after watercolor had dried. I try to give students a few options so they don't all look the same and they have some control as artists.
The link to the new page isn’t working. Do you have a date you’re expecting to have it up? I’d really like to learn this lesson for this month if it will be available. But might need to think up something else. This bunny is divine and I would really love to teach your value lesson. ❤️
I feel the same as Gina - I'd love to teach my students this lesson! Let us know if you can share the directions! Thank you! <3
