Spring Break is in full swing for me and I spent the first weekend of break accomplishing something that has been on my to-do list for a long time.
Reorganizing MY studio space. ... and let me tell you it feels so good.
I started my project the only way I know how. I took EVERYTHING out of the room and started from scratch. I moved furniture to new spots, turned bookcases on their sides, and donated a lot to goodwill. I treated myself to new storage from IKEA (the brown kraft paper boxes you see) and a new drawer system. I treated my husband to a new cart to store all my oME&oMY etsy shop supplies (instead of on his desk).
Everything has a new place and I can't wait to take things out and put them back again.
Is that dorky? I don't care.
We all spend so much time organizing our classrooms; creating interesting, inspiring centers, boards, and projects. I challenge you to spend an afternoon doing the same for yourself. I bet it will make you a happier more confident artist and that can only lead to being teacher.
